Creating has always been where I feel most like myself. Growing up I worked in ceramics, painting, and pyrography, finding my way through whatever medium let me create something with my hands. Design turned out to be the version of that which could reach the most people.

I care about design that has something real at stake. My work tends to live at the intersection of people and purpose — civic engagement, sustainability, animal welfare — the kinds of problems where getting it right actually matters. I bring a visual communication background to everything I do, which means I think as much about how something looks as how it works.

Outside of design I'm usually hiking, running, dancing, or painting — still creating, just in different forms.
