Research

03

Simplifying the Journey for Change

Research focused on understanding user needs and ensuring they could easily learn about the organization, explore events, and successfully complete key tasks like purchasing tickets.

Goals were established to better organize findings from the research.

User Pain Points

Putting myself in the user's mindset, several important questions came to light:
  • Why am I paying for this event?

  • How is my participation contributing to ocean protection?

  • Where can I find out what’s offered each day?

  • Do I have to attend the whole weekend, or can I choose specific days?

User Goals

What users want to accomplish on the site:
  • Learn about the organization and its mission.

  • See what events and activities are offered each day.

  • Understand how their participation supports ocean conservation.

  • Feel confident and excited about getting involved.

Design Goals

Engaging – The design should captivate users visually and encourage them to keep exploring. Information about events, the mission, and ticketing should feel approachable, exciting, and easy to access.

Clear – Navigation should be intuitive, ensuring users can quickly find event details, ticket information, and impact statistics.

Actionable – The design should motivate users to take action, whether that's buying a ticket, joining a cleanup, or learning more about ocean conservation
